Gibbons has 24 years of experience working for brokerage, financial data and trading software and publishing companies, including CompuTrac, the first technical analysis and system testing software for personal computers, Technical Tools, Logical Information Machines, Dow Jones/Telerate and Quote.com. He served as Associate Editor for Futures Magazine, and started a monthly column in that magazine called "The Computerized Trader" which he published for six years. He has published hundreds of columns and articles in Futures and Active Trader magazines and has spoken at trading conferences on topics such as the Internet, technical analysis, system development, and money management principles. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of the South, in Sewanee, Tennessee.
